skinny cinnamon peanut butter yoghurt apple dip

This skinny peanut butter dip makes a delicious pre workout snack.

Our favourite kind of snack is the one that satisfies our sweet tooth while being delicious and healthy. These kinds of snacks are perfect for mid-day, dessert or even as a pre-workout. Our top favourite? The “skinny peanut butter dip” fuelled with deliciously sweet apples!

This is known as the “skinny peanut butter dip” because that’s exactly what it is. It’s made with only three ingredients and is very light with greek yoghurt being the base. It has very little calories and includes energy boosting, antioxidant-rich and high fibre ingredients that make it a perfect pre-workout snack!

This delicious snack comes highly recommended by our Fit & Fab Blog editor. Just like our choc oatmeal bowl recipe, this comes right from our own recipe notebook.

What you’ll need:

1 apple (one to start with but you’ll want another!)
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp peanut butter
2 tbsp greek yoghurt

How to make it:

It’s simple! Just combine the cinnamon, peanut butter and yoghurt until you're left with a smooth mixture. Slice the apple and dip!
Another way to present this snack is to slice the apple width-ways and cut out the core to look like little doughnuts. Then smooth the dip on top of the apple and finish with a sprinkle of more cinnamon. Cute little healthy doughnut snacks!

Pro Tip:

Drink Valkyrie with this snack to boost the pre-workout benefits. Valkyrie is a thermogenetic energy-boosting fat burner that helps boost your workout. Combined with this snack, you'll have a well-rounded pre-workout that will take care of you from nutrition to fat loss!

We love using apples with this snack because they’re high in fibre and a natural energy booster making it perfect before a workout. With just one tablespoon of peanut butter, we get all those good fats peanut butter provides and limit the calories. The Greek yoghurt is also great for gut-health and protein too.

What more could you want in a pre workout snack?
